If you want to disable a field like the Checkbox (1) in our example screen:

Simply open the screen in design mode and open the customizer (1) for the selected screen:

The event list contains On Load (2). Simply create a new action for this event:

The Disable Component command (1) disables the Checkbox and the Disable Component command (2) disables the label for the Checkbox.
